Re: Game Info - Los Angeles Dodgers at Pittsburgh Pirates - June 18, 1968 -

I was in attendance at this game as a 10 year old. I will never forget it. This is the game where Drysdale hit Freddie Patek with a pitch late in the game. It was an inside fastball that Freddie couldn't react to quick enough and it hit him on his left wrist. I swear to God I thought it killed him. Freddie went down like somebody shot him. The most sickening part of it was the SOUND. It wasn't a muffled sound at all, but it sounded like the crack of the bat you hear when a hitter makes good contact off a hard fastball. As per usual back in the day, Drysdale showed no concern or remorse for what happened, and just took the ball back and walked back to the mound while Freddie was being looked at by the trainer. Amazingly, Freddie got up and took first base wirh what turned out to be a broken wrist. Drysdale was one of the group of hard-nose pitdhers that used intimidation agqinst hitters (eg. Gibson, Seaver).

Re: Game Info - Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals - August 31, 2005 -

The Minnesota Twins set a team record by getting 13 hits in a shutout.

Re: Game Info - Minnesota Twins at Milwaukee Brewers - April 21, 2016 -

The Twins were simply dominant after that first inning.

Re: New York Yankees (1941) at Toronto Blue Jays (1987) - A Back To Baseball Simulation

The '87 Blue Jays take down another great team. I am not surprised by this at all. If Toronto did not lose Tony Fernandez, who should be in the Hall of Fame, and Ernie Whitt down the stretch in their divisional race they would have won that and won the World Series no doubt.

1987 Toronto Blue Jays ...

One of the better teams of all-time that did not even win their division.

The site shows the first 25 simulations out of the 5000 run. If you click on the Result, you will see the box score for that particular simulation.

Re: Philadelphia Phillies (1950) at Philadelphia Phillies (1980) - A Back To Baseball Simulation

For all of your simulations, why is there not a complete box score?!
It would be nice to view the starting pitchers, but also the relief pitchers. How many ABs did each line-up player have?

I am actually looking for a STRAIGHT MLB simulation game that uses different World Series teams over the last 100+ years with the players complete yearly stats.

Your game is the closest, however, it does not have complete box scores in its many simulations, and maybe a stat compiler.

Thanks

Re: Daily active rosters

I am a devoted tabletop baseball enthusiast and play historical replays for individual teams or leagues. MY QUESTION: Is there a reference to determine for any game played what the ACTIVE ROSTER was for that game? Thank you, Dr V

Re: Chicago Cubs (2022) at Detroit Tigers (2022) - A Back To Baseball Simulation

maybe you could add a tool that adds up all the hits a player makes

You can see all the hits a player makes throughout his career in the Players section. Is that to what you're referring?

Los Angeles Dodgers versus Montreal Expos - May 3, 1970

Amazing that Jose Pena got the save when the Dodgers have a 15-1 lead in the 9th. One would believe that is not a save situation.

• • •

Quote from Wikipedia on Saves: As initially defined in 1969, a relief pitcher could earn a save if he entered a game with his team in the lead and he held the lead through the end of the game, regardless of the score or for how long he pitched. The definition changed in 1974.
