Will never forget this game. I was ten years old. All my boyhood baseball heroes were on the Tigers at the time. We were in Massachusetts vacationing as we did every year. This is the only game I've ever seen at Fenway. Tigers were down 4-0 in the ninth and started getting base hit after base hit, finally tying the score at 4-4. Then Bill Freehan steps up with the bases loaded and knocks a fly over the Green Monster for an 8-4 Tigers lead and a win after the bottom of the inning. My family was very excited. The fans around us were not so much, including my grandmother who was a big Sox fan.
