Bottom 1 Carey hits a ball on the ground towards the right side of the infield. Smith scoops it up and throws to first for the out.

Bottom 1 Bigbee bunts towards first. Holke scoops it up and throws to first, with Perritt covering, for the out. Mollwitz moves to second.

Bottom 1 Mollwitz hits a line drive into left field for a base hit. There goes Caton trying to get to third. Burns throws the ball in to Zimmerman, who tags Caton for the out.

Bottom 1 Caton hits a ball on the ground towards short. Fletcher fields the ball and throws it to first. Safe.

Top 1 Zimmerman hits a ball on the ground towards first. Mollwitz scoops up the ball, races to the bag, and beats Zimmerman for the out.

Top 1 Kauff hits a ball on the ground towards the right side of the infield. Pitler scoops it up and throws to first for the out. Burns moves to second.

Top 1 Thorpe hits a fly ball into center field. Carey settles under the ball and makes the catch for the out.

Top 1 Burns takes first base on ball four.
