Bottom 1 Caton takes first base on ball four.

Top 1 Zimmerman hits a ball on the ground towards the right side of the infield. Pitler scoops it up and throws to first for the out.

Top 1 Kauff hits a ball on the ground towards the right side of the infield. Pitler has Thorpe trapped. There's the throw to Smith and over to Boeckel, who tags Thorpe for the out. Kauff moves to second. Score that a fielder's choice.

Top 1 Thorpe hits a line drive into right field, out of the reach of King who is chasing the ball. Thorpe reaches third base with a triple.
